The Grey and Simcoe Foresters have a long an honourable history of service to Canada.
It can trace it earliest history the first militias formed in Upper Canada in the late 1700’s. Men from the Simcoe District County served in the War of 1812 and the Upper Canada Rebellion.
Men of Grey and Simcoe Counties served to defend Canada in 1865 and 1866, Northwest Canada in 1885, the Boer War, the First and Second World Wars and Korea.
Most recently, the men and women of the Grey and Simcoe Foresters have promoted humanitarian and national interests in areas as far afield as Egypt and Cyprus, the Golan Heights, Former Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Sierra Leon and the Sudan.
